About the Journal

Nation State: Journal of International Studies is a peer-review journal under the management of the International Relations Department, Faculty of Economics and Social Science, Universitas Amikom Yogyakarta, in collaboration with Asosiasi Ilmu Hubungan Internasional Indonesia (AIHII). The journal publishes primarily original research articles, perspectives, and short-form essays published through a double-blind review procedure. In today's world, where power is decentralizing and ideas are more diverse than ever, international norms which have been predominantly rooted in liberal and Western values, are facing new and complex challenges.  International norms are no longer simply accepted or internalized; they are questioned, resisted, reshaped and reimagined by many different international actors.
